New Footage Released of Emmitt House Restaurant Fire in Pike County

WAVERLY, Ohio (Ken Hines) -- Investigators have released new images of a fire that destroyed a Pike County landmark in hopes of obtaining new information about the mysterious blaze.

Newly-released surveillance footage from inside Emmitt House shows the evacuation of two firefighters just seconds before the second floor of the restaurant collapses.

Emmitt House caught fire on January 6 after standing in Waverly for more than 100 years.

No one was hurt in the blaze, thanks in large part to two off-duty firefighters from Pennsylvania who ordered everyone out of the building after smelling smoke.

Investigators have not determined the cause of the fire, and hope Tuesday's release of the new footage will lead to tips from members of the public.

Anyone with information about the blaze is encouraged to contact the State Fire Marshall's Office at 1-800-589-2728.
