Police Swarm Easton After Rumors of Gang Threats

NORTHEAST COLUMBUS (James Jackson) -- Columbus police are keeping a close eye on Easton Town Center and cracking down on potential gang activity. Police tell ABC 6/FOX 28 it's all because of an incident last weekend.

Our crews were there as police put a man in handcuffs tonight and saw several people detained and released. Officers used their helicopter and looked under cars with their flashlights.

Police tell ABC 6/FOX 28 there was a fight at Walmart on Morse Road, on Feb. 8, 2014, and it was broken up inside the store. No weapons were shown. Since then, officers say kids have been posting rumors of another fight at Walmart tonight. They've also claimed to be linked to a local gang.
