Marion Baby Hit by Rock Hurled Through Window

MARION (Tom Bosco/Kate Liebers) -- A baby needed stitches after a feud among adults turned violent, Marion police said.

Angelo Anderson, 20, was arrested after allegedly chucking a 10-pound chunk of concrete through a car window Saturday night.

Police said the incident stemmed from a longtime quarrel Anderson has had with three other adults. One of those adults, Ashley Armbruster, said she and her husband were driving near the Patten and Park streets in Marion when someone sped past and cut them off.

"That's when he threw the huge rock," Armbruster said. "We heard -- it sounded like a gun shot."

The rock hit Armbruster's one-year-old son in the head.

"I seen glass on his head," she said. "I just swiped my hand across his head and it just was covered in blood."

The child is reportedly healing quickly after getting some stitches.

Anderson was charged with vandalism. He has a history of related vandalism accusations, including breaking windows.
