Three People Including a Child Dead in Car Crash

DELAWARE COUNTY (James Jackson) -- State troopers say slick roads may be to blame for a crash that killed three people, Sunday evening, including a child. A passenger survived and is fighting for her life at OSU Medical Center.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says around 6:15, the car was going East on State Route 229, in Delaware County, when it passed another car in it's lane. They tell ABC 6/FOX 28 snow on the road likely caused the car to slide, slamming into a tree and pealing the driver's-side door open.

We're told the passenger, who survived, is from Virginia and was wearing a seat belt. Her name has not been released.

OSP says the car was going the speed limit. The victim's names have not been released and troopers don not think alcohol was a factor in the accident.
