U.S. Judge Sentences Westerville Man on Child Pornography Charge
COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- A Westerville man has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to downloading child pornography.
U.S. District Judge Gregory Frost sentenced Jason Grossman in Columbus on Wednesday, five months after he pleaded guilty to one count of receiving child pornography involving pubescent and prepubescent children.
Grossman admitted to investigators that he spoke with an undercover officer about the possibility of engaging in sex acts with a fictitious 11-year-old girl, and attempted to meet with that officer prior to his arrest.
Grossman admitted to downloading child pornography after he became aware of the undercover operation.
Grossman will be required to register as a sex offender after his release from prison, at which time he will be placed under court supervision for five years.
Judge Frost also ordered Grossman to pay $1500 to a young victim who appeared in pornographic photographs found on his computer.
