Police Apprehend Driver After Hilliard Chase

HILLIARD (Ken Hines) -- Investigators believe a traffic warrant likely sparked a Monday morning chase that ended with a driver in police custody.

The chase began at approximately 6 a.m. when officers attempted to stop a Chevrolet Camaro on I-270 at Roberts Road.

The driver -- who was driving his mother's car -- traveled on Roberts Road for a short distance before turning first on to Dublin Road and then on to Scioto Darby Road.

The chase ended on the 3900 block of Scioto Darby when the suspect stopped the Camaro. He was safely taken into police custody.

Investigators believe the driver -- who has not been publicly identified -- fled because of an outstanding traffic warrant. No one was hurt during the chase.
