Columbus Car Repair Businesses Thrive During Arctic Blast
COLUMBUS (Andrew Michael/Kate Liebers) -- When temperatures dropped, some businesses picked up.
Such was the case for Honest 1 Auto Repair.
"We have actually seen an increase in business and it's been going pretty smooth," owner Danni Diol said.
Many customers needed new tires after hitting a pothole. Others needed heat restored in their vehicles.
"I expected it because it has been out for a week, but it was freezing," said Robin Lester, who could tolerate a car without heat no longer.
Diol said battery problems were also common, but noticed that the batteries in hybrid and electric vehicles were lasting longer than expected.
