Cooper State Bank Robbed Near Grandview

COLUMBUS (Chelsea Spears) -- Columbus Police are looking for the man who robbed the Cooper State Bank at 1669 W. 5th Ave. Saturday around noon.

According to a press release, a masked suspect approached one of the Cooper State Bank tellers with a backpack in hand and demanded cash multiple times.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen running eastbound in the alley of the bank.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, 25-30 years old, 5'5" to 5'8", with a thin athletic build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a faded red hoodie, dust mask, tan and black gloves and dark striped pants.

Surveillance video of the incident has not yet been released.
