Trio Arrested After Home Invasion

NORTH COLUMBUS (Jen French) -- Three teens were accused of duct-taping a 17-year-old boy and robbing his parent's home on Janet Drive.

Akeighla Jordan, Spencer Robison and Jonathan Lee, all 19 years old, were arrested this week in connection to the crime.

Police said Jordan was visiting the 17-year-old on Tuesday when Robison and Lee slipped in. The two young men allegedly held the teen at knife-point and duct-taped him before stealing a television.

The teen freed himself and called 911 after the suspects drove away.

The victim's stepfather said the teen knew only Jordan but found the other suspects through Jordan's Facebook profile page.

Officers said they discovered several stolen items in the apartment where the three suspects lived and think the items could belong to multiple victims.

One neighbor, Michael Whitt, said he believes he is a victim. He said someone stole his television and tool set on Christmas Eve.

The suspects' roommate, Nekoda Leach, said he had been living with the trio for two months before he watched them get arrest.

"They let me in," Leach said. "I was just kind of shocked and baffled at what was going on."

Leach said his roommates came home with a new flat screen TV Tuesday.

"Because both of them just got paid--so they must've went to the pawn shop and got a new TV, he said.
