Plumbers Working Around the Clock Repairing Broken Pipes

UPPER ARLINGTON (Tara Morgan) -- Plumbers have been working non-stop ever since the arctic blast repairing broken pipes.

ABC6/FOX28 caught up with a plumber with The Waterworks at a home in Upper Arlington.

"Basically we got here and the house was flooding," said Daren Miller with The Waterworks.

Miller says his dispatchers have received more than a thousand calls in two days.

At Bob Eversole's house, a pipe in the attic broke.

"We had the really cold weather thought it was  pretty well behind us thought the house was pretty well insulated," said Eversole.

He hopes his homeowners insurance will cover the cost for repairs and restoration.

Miller says his advice is to make sure your pipes are insulated and during a deep freeze keep water flowing and know where to find your shut off valves.
