Crews Respond to Rooftop Fire at Port Columbus

COLUMBUS (Terri Sullivan) -- Part of Terminal B at Port Columbus was evacuated for about an hour Thursday afternoon after a fire broke out near a restaurant rooftop.

Dozens of fire crews responded. Passengers inside were pushed past the checkpoint area as a precaution.

"Anytime you hear 'fire' in the terminal and we can't land, it puts you in that pause moment," US Representative Joyce Beatty, who was on a flight back from Washington, D.C.

Her plan circled the airport until the problem was resolved.

Investigators did not immediately know what caused the fire. No one was injured and no flights were delayed.
