Cancellations and Delays at Airport
EAST COLUMBUS (James Jackson) -- From the East Coast to the Midwest, winter weather causing headaches for travelers. Thousands of flights were canceled or delayed today.
Picking up her bag was supposed to be the end to a grueling thirteen hour trip for Lori Slutsky. She flew here from new york, on business. "Now our luggage is on the plane and the doors are frozen so we can't get our luggage," Slutsky said.
Turns out Slutsky never got her luggage. It didn't make it to Columbus. "I think it should have been more frustrating, but a bunch of us were just kind of. We met a lot of friends today. We all just kind of, there's nothing you can do about it," Slutsky said.
Flights.com says more than 3,000 flights were canceled across the country today. More than 2,000 were delayed.
Bad weather made a long international trip even longer or Karthik Rangswamy, who's returning from a vacation in India. His flight was delayed one day and he missed a day of work. "A couple of activities that i need to take care of since I'm in support. I missed a couple of them, so I'm checking my mail now," Rangaswamy said.
