Outdoor Workers Deal with Frigid Temperatures Tuesday in Columbus

GAHANNA (Ken Hines) -- ABC 6/FOX 28 tagged along with a delivery driver as he  braved sub-zero temperatures while completing his route on Tuesday morning.

Like many central Ohioans, dealing with bitter cold is part of the job description for Best Courier delivery driver Antawn Banks.

While Banks's truck provides periods of respite during cold spells, his delivery route requires him to exit the warm confines of his vehicle while moving on foot from building to building in Downtown Columbus.

Despite the frigid temperatures, Banks considered snow left over from the recent storm to be the most irritating obstacle he faced on Tuesday morning.

"When it's cold like this, and it's been snowing, the streets are a mess," Banks said. "It's hard to get from one place to another."
