Pink-Gloved Robber Strikes Twice at SW Columbus Restaurant

COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- A man who donned pink gloves while robbing a Southwest Side restaurant twice in one week continues to elude police.

The unidentified suspect robbed Tim Horton's on Harrisburg Pike on January 11, and struck again at the same location just three days later, according to Columbus police. The same employees were working at the restaurant during each robbery.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect forcing the workers to stuff cash inside a backpack before fleeing the business on foot. The robber -- who was wearing bright pink gloves during each crime -- implied he was carrying a gun, but did not display a weapon, according to detectives.

The suspect is believed to be in his early 20s and is described as Caucasian, 5'7" tall and 125 lbs. In addition to the pink gloves, he wore a mask during each robbery.

Anyone with information about the crimes is encouraged to contact the Columbus Division of Police at 614-645-4545.
