Suspect Wields Shotgun During Upper Arlington Robbery

UPPER ARLINGTON (Ken Hines) -- A shotgun-wielding suspect is on the loose after robbing a central Ohio convenience store on Monday night.

The masked suspect brandished a large shotgun while demanding that a clerk fill a large bag with money at Speedway at 1430 W. Lane Ave. in Upper Arlington at approximately 9:48 p.m.

The suspect fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of stolen cash. No one was hurt during the robbery, though several customers were inside the store when the crime occurred.

The unidentified suspect is described as Caucasian, 6'0"-6'2" tall with a slender build and dark hair. He is believed to be in his late 20s-early 30s, and was wearing jeans, a camouflage mask, a dark hoodie, and a dark jacked with red and white striped-sleeves and a white circular design (possibly a dragon, according to Upper Arlington police) while committing the robbery.

Anyone with information about the crime is encouraged to contact the Upper Arlington Division of Police at 614-583-5160.
