3 Suspects Wanted for Violent East Columbus Robbery

COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- Franklin County deputies believe they spotted a vehicle involved in the violent robbery of a maintenance man on Monday afternoon.

An unidentified suspect shot the worker in the leg during a hold-up at 4653 Refugee Road in East Columbus at approximately 1:30 p.m. The gunman, along with two accomplices, fled the scene of the shooting in a gold SUV, according to investigators.

Deputies think they spotted the suspects' SUV less than an hour after the shooting occurred, but were unable to catch up to the vehicle before it disappeared from their view.

The victim is recovering from his injury at Grant Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.
