Columbus Stalker Suspect Arrested After Ex-Girlfriend Finds Mutilated Teddy Bear on Porch
COLUMBUS -- A 55-year-old man was arrested after allegedly committing a variety of suspicious activities over the course of a month, including leaving a mutilated teddy bear on an ex-girlfriend's porch.
Rodger W. Moore was charged with menacing by stalking after three law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at 11:20 a.m. Monday at Moore's apartment at 858 S. High St. in Columbus.
The suspect was accused of sending harassing and threatening text messages and emails to a 47-year-old ex-girlfriend between Nov. 12 and Dec. 18. He also allegedly trespassed onto the woman's property and left the altered teddy bear on her porch.
Franklin County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit seized Moore's computer during the execution of the search warrant.
Columbus City Prosecutor's Office Stalking Unit and the Columbus Police Department assisted the FCSO during the arrest.
Moore was taken into custody without incident.
