One of 3 Suspects Arrested in Band Gear Theft

COLUMBUS (Tom Bosco) -- Dozens of area musicians held onto the hope that they would get their instruments back after police identified a trio of alleged thieves.

Dozens of guitars were stolen over the weekend from a Grandview building used by several Columbus bands.

Later, at a pawn shop in Franklinton, a security camera captured footage of two women and a man trying to sell the missing guitars.

One woman, 34-year-old Nicola Collieer, was arrested and appeared in court Wednesday.

Officers have contacted another suspect, 27-year-old Jennifer White, and are seeking 43-year-old Bernard Climer.

Musician Chris Steirs is one of many upset about the theft, especially because the equipment was worth thousands of dollars.

"We're all broke and playing music," Steirs said. "So you respect each other's gear."

"It's like when you're going to buy a car," he continued. "It's like one of the biggest purchases of your life."
