Bucyrus Waitress Receives Generous Tribute Tip

BUCYRUS -- A local waitress recently received a once-in-a-lifetime tip at a pizza parlor.

Baker's Pizza server Tracy Tuttle-Wilson said her guests left a 600-percent tip on an $85 tab.

"I didn't know what to think," Tuttle-Wilson said. "I wasn't sure if it was a joke or if it was the real thing."

It was apparently just one of 50 big-spender tips one family plans to leave around the country.

The family of man Aaron Collins, a Kentucky man who died in 2012, has been honoring Collins' wish of traveling the country and surprising waitresses with $500 tips.

The public can donate to the cause. Because a Bucyrus man made the largest donation, he got to choose the restaurant.

Tuttle-Wilson said the generosity changed her.

"It makes you want to do nice things for people on a regular basis, makes you look at life a little differently," she said.

She said she spent the tip money on Christmas gifts.

"It was wonderful," she said.
