Woman Calls ABC 6 as Police Swarm Her Home

WESTERVILLE (Tara Morgan) -- Five people were arrested following a standoff with police.

It all started at around 7:30 p.m. Friday on Parkview Ave.

SWAT officers surrounded the house, but the people inside refused to surrender.  One of those people inside, Katelyn Allen, called the ABC 6/FOX 28 Newsroom saying she wasn't going to come out to them.

Allen said she's a victim and that her ex-boyfriend used her credit card to buy an X-Box system and when she confronted him about it, he called police and said he was being robbed at gunpoint.

Allen talked with ABC 6 News Senior Producer Mark Schultz on the phone for about 10 minutes.  Schultz urged Allen to surrender.

She said she was inside the house with her parents and her best friend.  Allen even emailed our station pictures from inside the house looking outside.

The standoff ended peacefully just before 10:00 p.m.

Three are charged with aggravated robbery.
