Police Looking for E. Columbus Shoe Store Robbery Suspect

COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- Police are working to identify a thief who held employees at knife point while robbing an East Side shoe store.

The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash from Payless at 2640 Brice Road at approximately 12:40 p.m. on Monday after pulling a knife on the store's clerk.

The suspect fled the scene of the crime in a four door car that was similar in appearance to a blue or silver Chevrolet.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his 40s, 5'10" tall and 180 lbs.-200 lbs., with a scruffy beard and light, thin hair. He was wearing a white Dallas Cowboys ball cap and dirty white tennis shoes at the time of the robbery.
