Police: Columbus Parents Admit to Selling Pot to Teens
COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- A husband and wife admitted to police that they have repeatedly sold marijuana to high school students, according to investigators.
Authorities charged Patrick and Stacy McGuire with trafficking and possession of marijuana after a complaint led to an investigation into the alleged sale of the drug to Franklin Heights High School students at the couple's Greenville Road home.
SWAT officers searched the McGuire's home on October 24 after detectives claimed to have observed teenagers entering and exiting the house repeatedly. Officers found a pound of marijuana inside the house, along with drug paraphernalia, according to investigators.
Under questioning, the McGuires -- who are the parents of high and middle school students -- allegedly admitted to police that they sold marijuana to high school students, which led to their arrests.
