Deputies: Attempted Home Invasion Leads to Abduction in SE Columbus

COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- Investigators are searching for three men suspected of abducting a woman during a failed home invasion.

The unidentified suspects carried firearms as they attempted to force their way into a Renfro Road home at approximately 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to Franklin County deputies.

After failing to gain entry to the home, the suspects abducted a woman as she attempted to walk to her car, and fled the scene of the crime.

Deputies found the woman, unharmed, in North Columbus approximately an hour after she was taken.

Detectives are examining security footage as part of their investigation into the abduction.
