Crews Restore Power After Crash in Reynoldsburg
REYNOLDSBURG (Kellie Hanna) -- Police say a person fell asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle crashing into several objects along the road about 5 a.m. Thursday.
It happened in the 1100 block of Waggoner Road where the woman driving a pickup truck was on her way to work and fell asleep.
The pickup truck swerved hitting and knocking down a mailbox. It then flattened a large bush in the yard and then bringing down a line that holds up power lines along the road.
That knocked out power to over 1500 American Electric Power customers in Franklin County and over 300 customers in Licking County.
The lines were repaired, and power was restored to all customers a few minutes after 7 a.m.
The female driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries just as a precaution.
