Trick-or-Treaters Endure Rain for Candy
UPPER ARLINGTON (Terri Sullivan/Kate Liebers) Neighbors say boo to canceling the trick-or-treating traditions just because of a little rain.
The rain began to fall as Windemere Elementary let out for the day, but the damp weather did not dampen anyones spirits.
For these hardy souls, the candy hunt is on. Parent Steve Balmert said there was no way his child was going to take a rain check.
Is there any point where you say you are not going out? Balmert said. I would say that, but try telling that to a six-year-old. So well be out in the weather.
Parents shielded costumes with hopes of getting them through the next few hours.
I dont know what to say about this weather, but its not going to stop us, Saeed Bajestani said.
For the kids, it is a magical time no matter what the weather.
