Police Review Surveillance Video in Verizon Store Break-ins
COLUMBUS (Kellie Hanna) -- Police are looking into several cell phone store burglaries from Thursday night and into Friday morning.
Two Verizon Wireless cell phone stores were broken into just hours apart.
The first break-in was reported at the store on Blazer Parkway near Tuttle Crossing Blvd. just before midnight.
The other break-in occurred about 3:45 a.m. at the Verizon store at 1307 W. 5th Avenue in West Columbus near Grandview.
In both break-ins, the glass was broken.
The owner of the Verizon Store on W. 5th Avenue says the burglars stole cell phones, but they were just the display models which are unusable.
Police say these crimes may be linked to other Verizon store break-ins that happened October 8, 2013.
They will be looking over surveillance video at these different locations to see if any of these crimes were caught on tape.
