Owners Frustrated that RV Was Stolen and Destroyed
MARION - A man is in custody after police say he stole an RV and went on a road rampage. The owners of the RV aren't happy about the joyride.
Nikki and Ben Snivley enjoy taking their three kids on road trips with their RV, but Marion Police said 39-year-old Christopher Lines took it on a trip of his own.
"I'm not sure what was going through his mind, Nikki Snivley said.
Early Tuesday morning, officers think Lines stole the vehicle from a storage unit, then led them on a chase. Lines is accused of ramming the RV into a pharmacy repeatedly, then crashing into a house.
The Snivley family told ABC 6/FOX 28 they've never met Lines.
"You know, you don't know what goes through people's minds when they do things, Ben Snivley said.
Marion Police think Lines was under the influence of alcohol
As of Saturday afternoon, Christopher Lines is being held at the Marion County jail with a $150,000 bond. He was charged with felonious assault, vandalism, breaking and entering, theft, driving while under the influence of alcohol and violating his probation.
