Updated: Monday, September 30 2013, 07:58 PM EDT
DUBLIN (Ken Hines) -- Organizers are finishing preparations at Muirfield Village as golf fans from around the world converge on central Ohio for the upcoming Presidents Cup.

The tournament's practice rounds begin on Tuesday at the Dublin course made famous by the annual Memorial Tournament.

Presidents Cup attractions will include a Fan Experience section, a free event where attendees can practice their games on golf simulators and putting greens while shopping for the same gear that will be sported by the players.

"I've been observing everything for the past week," patron Loretta Bragg-Smith said of the Fan Experience preparations. "These guys have been working so hard. It's unbelievable."

Tournament play begins on Thursday, with the opening ceremony scheduled for Wednesday at Columbus Commons.

The event matches a dozen American professional golfers against 12 international players. The first team to earn 17 1/2 points over 34 matches will win the cup.PRESIDENTS CUP: Final Preps Underway at Muirfield Village
