Comment: Highways and main streets were fantastic. For side streets, I think that the city has done what it can. There is only so much that can be done with the amount of snow we received, cars parked on the streets and the amount of residential streets. from Columbus, OH by Jennifer
Comment: We live in Columbus and the main cut through street in our neighborhood gets cleared once in a while but our actual side streets and courts do not from Columbus, Ohio
Comment: my street was cleaned Saturday afternoon. from Columbus, OH
Comment: District 5 did a HORRIBLE job clearing 161 between the Beech exit and 37. As well as 310. I was on 161 west numerous times over the weekend. The last time was Sunday at 3:00pm... Well over 24 hours after any snow. There were still cars sliding off of the road. I think district 5 needs to make a public apology to the individuals who received citations and those who slid off the road... 24 hours after snow.... unreal!!! from Pataskala, Ohio by Meghan
Comment: fOR AS MUCH SNOW AS WE RECIEVED IN SUCH A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME, I THINK THE ROAD CREWS DID A GREAT JOB. from HILLIARD, OHIO by JANIE

Comment: Yes, they are doing a great job! Keep up the good work ODOT. from Columbus, Ohio by Joe
Comment: I live on a residential side street in north Columbus and my street had been cleared by Sunday morning. from Columbus, OHIO by Marlene
Comment: LOL....the main streets are fine, but you can just forget about any side or residential streets ever getting cleared, as its not exactly high on Mayor Coleman's to-do list. from Columbus, Ohio by Brian
Comment: The City of Whitehall always does an excellent job of preparing before a snow storm and clearing the streets afterwards. Kudos to Whitehall! Keep up the great work. from Whitehall, Ohio by Tanya
Comment: OMG!!! Are you kidding me?? Your reporter is standing at the end of our road! Talking about how clear Abbey Church is - turn around and take a shot of Black Kettle Trail!! About 10 inch thick pure ice with 2 ruts in it!! Stellar upkeep! from Dublin, Ohio by Maureen
Comment: The city should have spread salt yesterday when it got above freezing..instead they waited until today with single digit temps and the truck only slid over the ice ruts..nothing was removed..we still have thick ice..now new snow over the ice ruts..not good at all!!! from Columbus, Ohio by Juanita
Comment: The city did an outstanding job of clearing all our residential streets here on the far East Side. It was done by late evening after it had stopped snowing. In fact I think that is the soonest after a storm we have ever had our streets done in the 40+ years we have lived here
Thank You Columbus !! from Columbus, Ohio by John
Comment: They did a great job clearing my area. from Columbus, Ohio by Dan
Comment: I must say that for the past snowstorm, the roads were cleared quickly.....but we have another storm coming in tonight, so we will see if the road crews can duplicate/improve their performance. from Reynoldsburg, Ohio by Tim
Comment: Great job! My hats off to ODOT, Columbus city worker and Gahanna. Awesome job. from Gahanna, Ohio by Jessie
Comment: I actually think they should leave some snow base on the streets. When plowed it is nothing but ice. The city can't afford salt. People should slow down while driving. from Zanesville, Ohio by Pat
Comment: I think the road crews should be appreciated for what they have done. I think the restraunts, in the area, should give free meals to plow drivers and their support teams. from Hilliard, OHIO by Scott
Comment: I was floored at how thoroughly the city of Columbus got the streets cleared deep in my residential suburban neighborhood that used to never see a plow! from Columbus, ohio by Megan
Comment: A City of Columbus snowplow on our street?! Be serious. It looks like the street was plowed but other streets that run into our street were not. The City of Columbus doesn't work like this. I believe that someone got tired of having one path down the middle of the street and found someone to plow the street at night. from Columbus, by Laura
Comment: I am happy, but some how it always ends up on my shovled sidewalk!!!!!!! :( from Reynoldsburg, Ohio by Madeline
Comment: I like the plowing this time !
However I don't agree with
columbus city staying open today.
My child walks and will not be going
today. And is gene harris saying the
other districts don't care about
missing a school day cause some of
them have been closed for days from columbus , ohio by chris
Comment: Our streets our never touched. Last winter's snow storm and this year's storm storm we have had ruts that make it almost impossible to drive down the street if there is someone coming from opposite direction. The snow just gets deeper and nothing done in my neighborhood. from Columbus, Ohio by Joe
Comment: There's at least 4 inches if not more of ice from the last snow storm. Now it's going to be even worse. from Columbus, OH by Michelle
Comment: Our street had plows come down at least
3 to 4 times before the end of the day on
Saturday. By Sunday, our streets were
almost dry. from Upper Arlington, Ohio by Jennifer
Comment: My neighborhood is a mess. When two cars are passing it feels like you are slipping into each other because of the icy hills in the road. from Columbus, Ohio by Dena
Comment: The day after the snow storm the streets
are dry and clear, groveport does a great
job from Groveport, ohio by Mike
Comment: I think that Columbus Ohio does and awful job preparing for snow. We knew snow was coming, yet this morning at 6 30 the streets were completely covered, even highways. I did not see one plow or salt truck out. With all the snow coming up, I can guarantee there are going to be many unnecessary accidents. from Columbus, Ohio by Alyson
Comment: I like to visit my mom quite frequently, since she does not live that far away. The area that she lives in, around Weber Road on Azelda Street, the streets are terrible. The salt trucks have not even attempted to clear them off. The streets have been covered in pure ice for about a week and a half now. They really need to be concerned about the side streets as well. I got stuck trying to pull out from the curb on the side street. I hope that the state can resolve this issue. Thank you so much. from Columbus, Ohio by Robert
Comment: They only time they plow my road is if there is an accident on one of the two main roads on my end of town because my road connects and acts like a detour to both of them. from Circleville, OH by Lauren
Comment: Warrensburg Rd in Delaware is absolutely horrible from Delaware, Ohio by Corey
Comment: You mean they actually clear the streets? News to me! To give due credit, they do a good job on High street, but my understanding was when the side roads had 4 inches or more, they were supposed to be plowed. I've yet to see a plow, or even just a salt truck on the side roads in Clintonville. from Columbus, Ohio by Dianna
Comment: We NEVER see a plow and really need salt. Our house is on a hill which dead-ends into a cul-de-sac. It is solid ice under freshly deposited snow. I've called the City. They are ALWAYS working on the main roads! Have we been taken off the city map?? HELP! from Columbus 43230, Ohio by Jean
Comment: Since the snow has begun, Delaney Drive (43207) has NOT been cleared. We live on Delaney , and when the city does plow Markham and Lee Ellen (43207) the excess snow is dumped on Delaney making it more difficult to get off our own street. Why do they now plow Delaney Drive? from Columbus, Ohio by Mendy
Comment: I live in the Hill Top (Wilshire Hts) and they barely clear the main roads and never clear the secondary. There is so much ice from Friday's wintery blast under the snow, it's a wonder anyone can get out of the neighbor hood. from Columbus, Ohio by J
Comment: The city should know by now how to handle these type of snow issue. from columbus, ohio by Jedidiah
Comment: Plows did not come through until 48 hours after the storm when it was all frozen. So it looked as if they never came through at all. from Columbus, OH by Angel

Comment: The ice in our neighborhood is about 3in and my car has hard time just driving to my house from Pataskala, Ohio by Marcella
Comment: No, they haven't been down this road once today. from lancaster, ohio by kelly
Comment: I have lived on my street for over ten years, it has never once been plowed, nor has the street leading to mine. Think of all the large snow storms Columbus has had in the past ten years, even the 2008 blizzard did not warrant a plow for these roads. from Columbus, Ohio by Tiffany
Comment: Reynoldsburg has and continues
to do an excellent job of snow
clearing. I and my family are
grateful for the hard work of
all the Reynoldsburg City
Employees. from Reynoldsburg, Ohio by Robert
Comment: i live in london on the main roads there are signs that say snow emergency routes no parkin but there are cars lined up and down the street.. makes it hard for plows to do ther job... i think they get towed once the will learn not to park there... from london, ohio
Comment: I'm glad that ODOT is sending out more and more trucks and actually trying. I live in the center of Heath, and Rt. 79 isn't always this cleared off, but it's been better than usual. from Heath, Ohio by Laura
Comment: i live out here in the country and it seems that they get to these roads whenever they can.to me it seems like their worried about getting the city streetsand not these country roads from canal winchester, ohio by harry
Comment: There have been 2 plows that have come through but they just skimmed the top - there are ruts at least 6 inches deep from cars going up and down the road and turning into the driveway is almost impossible since I have a car. They could have saved their gas and not come through at all. from Columbus, Ohio by Angela
Comment: Dublin is AWESOME!!! from Dublin, Ohio by Mike
Comment: We live on the first street in Columbus from Arlington. So far this year we have not seen a snow truck on our street. We have lived in the same house for over 16 years and last year we saw 3 snow plows. Prior to that we had only seen one, when a school bus got stuck in front of our driveway. from Columbus, ohio by jeni
Comment: from the pre-planning to the execution, the City and ODOT did a great job keeping the main roads clear which kept the city moving from Grandview, OH by Marc
Comment: NO WAY!!!!!!! My wife and I have lived on Beetree Street for 7 years and no one has ever plowed our street. The last big snow storm we had we called and they told us they always plow ater 4" and this has never happend. We always hear what a great job they are doing keeping up with the roads but what about Beetree Street. I thought that's what we were paying taxes for. I understand we have had a lot of snow in a short time but 7 years is a long time to wait on a plow. Now we have to worry about drifting snow. Already part of Akire and Galloway Road have drifted over. We are older people and not able to shovel the street like we've been doing. We can hardly do our driveway anymore. I am disabled and my wife has asthma. An ambulance would have trouble getting up our street right now. We now have 3 inches of ice in some areas of the street. Had it been plowed after the 7 inches fell we may not have this problem. Thank you. Dale F. Longfellow from Galloway, Ohio by Dale
Comment: I have been stuck in my apartment for three (3)days, the apartment where I lived, hasn't plowed on parking area nor the parking lot. The office manager told me that maintence isn't responsible for clearing the walkway, only the walkway around the Rental office at Brentwood lake appts in Reynoldsburg, off of Tussing Rd. I'm disable, I'm in a handicapped parking. The walkway is covered with ice/snow. I'm on a cane. I told them if I would fall, I would sue them. The manager stated that they were responsible,if not them who is? from , Ohio by Gina
Comment: They don't remove snow here, we pay taxes but aren't deemed human I guess. We can't get out, we have a cross country ski track out there - we don't live on the Freeway which is all Columbus seems to care about. from , Ohio by Gloria
Comment: thay did such a horrid job that my father slid on black ice and fell in a ditch. the meat and cartilage from hi left rib tore apart from the bone. from newark, ohio by kathryn
Comment: Norwich Township in Hilliard does an awesome job of keeping the streets clean. from Hilliard, Ohio by Jason
Comment: They could do a lot better then they are doing. Let's not give them too much credit, they will think they are good & quit doing the streets. I wish they would do the side streets like they do the main streets, then we would not have to worry about falling just walking to our cars in the morning & evening. from Whitehall, Ohio
Comment: Nope. Its horrible every year and it will never get better.I have no faith in our city and have not had for years now. I dont blame the plow drivers they work hard its the ppl that run it! from Columbus, Ohio by Kelly
Comment: We are down here in Newlexington ohio, and they have done a great job.
Comment: I work on Trabue Rd. and since last Friday 1 snowplow has been down our street. There are 4-5 inches of ice under 3-4 inches of snow. from Columbus, Ohio by Tony
