Comment: I will never buy a Toyota again. I bought a brand new Corolla in 2002 and it started using oil in the third year. Tansky Toyota refused warranty coverage stating that their engines are too reliable to use oil and I was mistaken. When I proved to them it was losing oil at a rate of 1Qt/500 miles, they said that is normal for any car and they will not cover the warranty. At 50,000 miles, the rod bearings failed. Tansky Toyota accused me of damaging the engine. They again said that their engines are too reliable to do this. I contacted Toyota, and they said they will not get involved in dealer affairs. I replaced the bearings myself as I was not going to pay them to do this for me. At 80,000 miles, the bearings failed again, then the transmission failed. I repaired the transmission, and decided 6 months later to get rid of the vehicle. from Hilliard, Ohio by Ken

Comment: Absolutely. We have purchased 8 new Toyotas over the past 20 years. It has bee our experience that they have always, always stood by their product and fixed any problem we have had even after the official warranty has expired. from Lancaster, Ohio by L
