28.57% Yes
71.42% No

Comment: Why should non-fans support the team for the fans? We already have enough government subsidies I am paying for, quit stealing my money. from Columbus, OH by Chuck

Comment: I think that raising taxes to keep a sports team is ludicrous. If communities wont pass levies for schools why add more taxes to beer and cigs. I dont smoke and drink very little but I know that to some people those two things are simple pleasures that doesnt need to cost MORE AND MORE. It seems like every time the county needs more money....just up the taxes on beer and cigs. I am tired of that word. Taxes. from Reynoldsburg, Ohio by Michael

Comment: whoever owns them should pay raise tickets if they would play better then maybe more people would buy tickets. im not a drinker or smoker but leave those people alone.tax the owner. from logan, oh by crystal

Comment: I think that would be a great use of a "sin tax" from Reynoldsburg, OH by Larry

Comment: I think this is especially so since so much beer is consumed at the arena, the arena district and the eventual casino. In some ways, this may help to pay for itself. from Lancaster, OH by Malcolm

Comment: YES we need too do something about this we can not lose the CBJ they are a big part of this city and have done alot for this city LETS GET THIS BACK ON THE RIGHT PATH! CARRY THE FLAG GO JACKETS......NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS from whitehall, ohio by DJ

Comment: No I do not. Im sick the people that smoke or drink are the people that have to pay extra for others enjoyment. Raise the ticket prices so the people that want to see them in the future are the people that pay the price. from , Ohio by Cynthia

Comment: Why is it everyone suffers for something only a few want! Taxes are not the answer, hav eyou seen the number of people with out JOBS! from Gahanna, OH by Doris

Comment: Forget it. If the support we've given them this decade isn't good enough, let them find a new home. from Pataskala, OH by Bradford

Comment: Let me get this straight, the voters of this county voted down a tax increase to build this arena years ago using our tax dollars and they built it anyway with private monies. So now the private companies want us to bail them out to help pay for this same arena that we didn't want to pay for in the first place? Perhaps president obama could give some stimulus $ to the private owners! Enough! from hilliard, ohio by dave

Comment: Sure, why not. from WESTERVILLE, OHIO by CATHY
