Comment: i wonder if the farm owner would appreciate the same treatment? from dublin, oh by d
Comment: Although I think the stalls should be at least twice as wide, I feel as long as it's not against the law, then the owners have the right to build any size they want. Why doesn't this group who's going across Ohio targeting our Meat produces use their energy for more pressing problems facing our state. from Columbus, Ohio by Joe
Comment: ALL living things should have enough room to move about, lay down & groom themselves PERIOD Calves belong outside in the sunshine with fresh air and grass. from Columbus, Ohio by Sandy
Comment: I "m Starting To Become A Vegan, Due To The Way Farm Animal"s Are Mistreated, I Lost 5 Pounds Not Wanting To Eat Meat, Or Egg"s. It"s Not Right. from Chillicothe, Ohio by Marsha

Comment: they should be in a large pen running loose from columbus, 0hio by dwight
Comment: you have never been a farmer. A cow is a full grown female. I will never give up on beef to become a vegan. a very one sided story. To have good veal they have to be confined to produce the type of beef the public wants. from grove city, ohio by ann
Comment: Veal is a delicate meat; the less exercise the young calf gets the more tender the meat. There was nothing wrong with the video; in fact we were impress with the huge, clean barn. The calves are well taken care of!! from Utica, Ohio by Vanessa & Dan
Comment: Keeping animals from breathing fresh air while being chained to a narrow stall is far from "humane". The animals deserve the opportunity to live a good life while they are with us. from Lewis Center, Ohio by Jennifer
Comment: It is inhumane to treat the animals like this. There should be laws and regulations against treatment such as this. However, unfortunately this is happening all over our country and probably worse than what we have seen here. There will never be tighter restrictions for these farmers especially in rural areas where an animal is just that- an animal. from , OH by Alice
Comment: Veal and lamb meals were the result of areas where there was not as much grazing land to bring the animals to full size. When I first found out, 20 years ago, how veal was raised I gave it up forever. Also, do not NEED to eat lamb. Baby animals are not a necessary part of our food supply in our time and location. from Westerville, Ohio by Sandra
Comment: I suppose activists want farmers to build them each small efficiency apartments instead.
There just cows people and there are PEOPLE in this world with real problems from Plain City, Ohio by Michael
Comment: No one should enjoy causing death to any creature. It has been an accepted practice my entire life. I do love meat. But seeing how it's done makes it unappealing to my spirit. Please pass the veggies. from Reynoldsburg, Ohio by Caroline
Comment: People need to leave farmers alone and let them do their jobs that they love and have a passion for. We have laws and regulations we live by and in most cases go far beyond those to create a safe product for the consumer. We do not sneak on to their property or their place of business and tell them how to do their job or accuse them of doing things that we do not even have a clue about like most of them keep doing. from columbus, ohio by Brian
Comment: I don't think it is humane to eat babies at all, let alone torture them for their short time on this Earth.
Comment: they are kept in small pens so they don't lose weight and chained so they can't be injured. We eat these animals-this is a farm, not a daycare playground. This issue is not newsworthy, just someone trying to ruin the hard working farmer who is trying to make a living. from , ohio by stu
Comment: This is why I have never bought or served veal. from , OH by Margaret
Comment: this isn't already illegal??? from Columbus, Ohio by Leah
Comment: Uh, how would the people wh run the farm like it if their kids day care kept them contained like that??? from Columbus, ohio by Margy
Comment: I think the owner of the farm should be chained by the neck inside a 2' wide stall. from Columbus, Ohio by Susan
Comment: Very inhumane, they are taken from their mothers, placed in small cages and cannot move. Make Animal Abue A Felony in Ohio. No, it is not humane to keep these calves like this, from Heath, Ohio, OHIO by Alayna
Comment: THEY SHOULD PUT THE PROGRESSIVE LIBERALS IN A CAGE LIKE THAT, IS NOT WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO US AS US CITIZENS.????PREFERABLY NANCY PELOSI/BARBARA BOXER/HARRY REID THEY NEED TO BE PINNED UP LIKE THAT=LOL= THE TRUTH AND ALL POLITICIANS.!!!!!!!! from CHILLICOTHE,OHIO, ohio by STEVEN
Comment: I was raised on a farm and we raised baby calves, not for veal but to full size for meat. Our calves were never in that small of a pen. They actually develop better when they have room to run around. We used to take ours out for walks/runs on long halter ropes. I think it is cruel to have them in such a small pen, even if they are only going to be butchered in a few months. from galloway, ohio by becky
Comment: They're cows. . .what else is their purpose in life? Ever see how they slaughter a pig? Bleeding like a stuck pig saying has some pretty bloody origins. from Orient, Ohio by Nick
