Comment: kids should go to school five days not 4 days from columbus, ohio by roger

Comment: Why would you give kids an extra day off from school ? Working parents would be presented with the problem of children having another free day to explore their world. I'm sure the teachers would want another day off if their pay wasn't cut. Teach kids an occupation on Saturday. And you political leaders- get some sense - from Charles Town, West Virginia by Tom

Comment: No, children should go to school 5 days. They should be learning all that they can not off playing on their off days. from Columbus, Ohio

Comment: They need to go 6 days a week. It will keep them out of trouble & the parents won't have to worry if they will have a babysitter or not while they are working 7 days a week sometimes. Kids need to get their education, & going to school 4 days will not cut it. They already get too much time off as it is why make it better for them? They get off of school if there is a drop of water on the sidewalks or more then 1 snowflake on the ground falling. from Columbus, OHIO

Comment: Since the workweek is 5 days for most parents, this could create a financial hardship for families to pay for an entire extra day childcare. from Columbus, Ohio by Kathy

Comment: we need are children to have all the education we can give them. from delaware, ohio by devonna

Comment: I would love to have more time with my children. from Westerville, OH by Gwen

Comment: I think that it would be beneficial as long as they would attend year round. from Columbus, Ohio by Angela

Comment: There is already too much wasted time in school and long summers. This would be great if they were year-round school, but not the way it is now. from Gahanna, Ohio by Lora

Comment: yes!, yes!, Yes!!!!! from delaware, ohio by jane

Comment: How about parents only working 4 days a week instead? Children should have a shorter summer break so they don't spend the first month re-learning everything. from Columbus, Ohio by Peggy

Comment: Children need more learning time, not less. Schools have a hard enough time passing mandated testing. And childcare expenses would increase, creating hardships for parents. from Galloway, OH by A Mom

Comment: yes be better to get more stuff done during the week from delaware, ohio by pamela

Comment: Kids should go to school M-F, 9-5, just like the working world they are being prepared to enter. They should also have their 10 week break from Dec 15 - March 1st, instead of in the summer. This would clear up traffic when the roads are at their worst and you wouldn't need snow days. from Columbus, OH by S

Comment: I'd like to see the kids today do something especially these kids in Columbus Public. Go to school and quit shooting each other. from Columbus, Ohio by Richard
