New Crime Stoppers Phone App Helps Fight Crime
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A new cell phone app is fighting back to keep you safe.
Crime Stoppers of Central Ohio has created an app for Droid users that sends out instant crime alerts about unsolved cases. It also allows people to send in anonymous tips to help police make an arrest.
The first case profiles an unsolved two-year-old murder of a three-month-old baby who died after being severely beaten.
This is the first Crime Stoppers app of it's kind in the country. A version for iPhones is expected within the next few weeks.
