Answers, Arrest Sought in 2008 Shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A concerned mother Wednesday returned to the place where her son died to search for answers.

Maritza Anthony walked door to door at the Hickory Grove Apartment complex, located in the 1600 block of Red Robin Rd in north Columbus, to hand out fliers to with a photo of her son, O'Brien Anthony, on them to residents.

Someone shot Anthony in September 2008. Police found him lying in the doorway of his apartment just after 1 a.m. He died a short time later.

Police have said they think someone may have been trying to rob him. No one has been arrested.

Anthony's case is Central Ohio Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week. The group helps local law enforcement solve cases through tips called in anonymously.

Anyone who might have information about the case is asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 614-461-8477 (local) or 1-877-645-8477. Anonymous tips can also be left online at stopcrime.org. Just click on ‘Submit a Tip’ at the Web site.
