I am the Co-Captain of the Ohio/Parsons Block Watch. The city is lacking enforcement of ALL laws in the city. Criminals are turned back onto the streets without any punishment. Drug dealers know this and know they will not have punishment for what they do.

Columbus PD did something like that just a couple of months ago... over the course of 24 or 48 hours.. they arrested a few dozen people.

This violence on our streets didn't just start when summer began. It began back during the school year. I just heard a few minutes ago that Dr. Gene Harris is receiving a hugh pay raise. Let her money walk the walk NOW. Is she letting city leaders, the police and the community know week after week what crimes are going on in the city high schools? This is an on-going "crime" all year long in these Columbus schools and she's getting a pay raise? That Columbus school board should be giving that money to youth programs. Her schools are a large part of the problem.

Solutions for the violence.... its a cry for help...we need to award and promote ...right living...in the home...will reflect what we do outside the home.... Everyone need to get back to the basic of right living..and learning what's right...from our local churches...Everyone that is found out of line should be mandated to attend a local church service and their intire family at least twice a month...and receive behavioral and sprirtual counseling..

Our block works very close with our street officers and we patrol our area during the day and night to assist our officers and community liaison officer. The cheif and mayor and city council need to support what our officers are doing by making sure laws are enforced and our prosecuting attorneys office is doing it's job and no more making "deals" with criminals.
