Fighting Back
Former Gang Members Create Program on Gault St.
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- An East Columbus neighborhood where a teen was murdered last month, is fighting back, and targeting at risk youth to not commit crime.
"Men Against Darkness", an anti-crime group, was created by Steve Davis, who lives just a few doors down from the crime scene.
Group members include former gang members and prison inmates, who will tell their stories to juveniles, to keep them from taking part in illegal activities.
M.A.D. is already working on an anti-violence basketball tournament, and giving presentations to city rec centers and grade schools.
ABC6 News Steve Levine highlights local efforts to clean up crime in their neighborhoods.
