Class Notes
Many boys and girls attending General Rosecrans Elementary School, in the Big Walnut School District, are crossing busy State Route 36 to get to and from the school. The traffic poses a potential hazard for the students.
Now, to help increase students’ safety, engineers with the Village of Sunbury are extending the amount of time allowed to cross nearby S.R. 36 from 15 to 25 seconds.
Also, the Village council is expected to eliminate right-hand turns on red at the intersection by the end of this week.
