Worker Dies After Construction Accident

HEBRON -- A construction worker died when he fell from a lift at the I-70 construction site over Canal Road.
It happened about 10:30 a.m. when the huge steal beam fell onto the lift that the worker was in.
Micah Montgomery, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner came remove his body and has done an autopsy.
The autopsy determined he died from blunt force trauma to his torso because of falling out of the lift.
OSHA is on the scene investigating.
No word on what might have caused this workplace accident.
This construction project is part of a larger $10Million project to resurface Canal Road and rebuild the I-70 overpass.
It was expected to be wrapped up later this year. No word on how this death will affect the time the project is finished.
