COLUMBUS -- Police say Willie M. Kimbro, 36, was gunned down in an apartment on W. Broad St.
It happened shortly before 9:00 p.m. Thursday in an apartment above a carryout at 2405 W. Broad St. It's not known exactly what happened, but detectives working the case believe Kimbro was shot in the hallway.
Crews rushed him to Mt. Carmel West Hospital, but say he died a short time later.
Police say they're looking for at least one suspect, but that there may have been two people.
Detectives say they're reviewing surveillance video from that
convenience store below the apartment. They're hoping the suspect(s) were caught on-camera as they were leaving
the scene.
We will update this story as new information is released.
In the meantime, if you know anything, you're asked to call Crimestoppers at 614-645-TIPS.
