COLUMBUS -- The bomb scquad had to detonate a suspicious package that was found on the Dodridge Street bridge near The Ohio State University campus just before 11 a.m. Thursday.
Someone called police when they found a small object taped to a pillar of the footbridge.
Crews on the scene say this may have been a prank, but they couldn't tell what the object was nor could they get their robot to it.
They had to blow up the object by putting their equipment next to it.
Dodridge Street was closed for about an hour between Neil Ave and Olentangy River Road.
The street was reopened, but the footbridge remained closed while crews investigated.
