Suspects on the Loose in a Robbery & Beating

COLUMBUS -- Police detectives continue to search for suspects in connection with a robbery & beating on the city’s near East Side.
A 43-year-old man was robbed of his cell phone and wallet at gunpoint Monday night as he was heading to his car near the intersection of East Oak St. & South 22nd Street.
The man tells ABC 6/FOX 28, “They approached me and stuck a gun to my head and said give me your wallet and cell phone.”
The victim says before fleeing the scene, one of the suspects struck him in the eye with the gun. “When they hit me; they hit me good.”
Within an hour after the attack, more than $2,000 in merchandise was charged using one of the victim's stolen credit cards.
The two suspects were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and ball caps.
