SOUTHEAST COLUMBUS -- Columbus Police are investigating an early morning crash that involved a Columbus Fire Department Medic.
The accident was minor in nature, but drugs and/or alcohol may have been a factor. It happened around 2:45 am on February 7, 2013 in the 6200 block of Upperridge Drive in Canal Winchester, within the Columbus Police and Fire jurisdiction.
According to Columbus Police officers on scene, the man driving a silver Toyota Camry, struck a Columbus Medic that was following the driver because they suspected he was under the influence.

We dug into the car owner's history and found he has a temporary permit which expired on December 20, 2012. The car is registered
Police continue to investigate the crash, and charges against the driver have not yet been released. As we get more information we will update this story.
