COLUMBUS – Bishop Watterson High School at 99 E. Cooke Rd was hit by wanna-be burglars twice in one week.
When the two suspects couldn’t get into the school, they damaged a retaining wall near the school baseball field, leaving a huge mess behind.
Six days later, they got inside the school through a cafeteria kitchen window but accidentally stepped on the fire alarm which automatically turned on the sprinkler system.
A sticky substance used to put out grease fires was sprayed all over the floor.
Thieves left behind thousands of dollars in damages, and they remain on the loose.
Anyone with information is asked to call Columbus Police at 614-645-4545.
