COLUMBUS -- Thieves busted through a wall to steal cell phones, wine, and cigarettes from a city convenience store.
More than $4,000 in merchandise was taken from the Great Miami Market over the weekend, when burglars broke in and left a mess behind.
When crooks couldn’t get in through a back door, they busted into a vacant store next door, and then tore a hole through the wall to get to their loot from the mini-mart.
“It’s been empty for months,” said owner Mike Rasoul, “If it’s empty, they’ll take advantage and do it again.”
This is the third time in four years, the market has been burglarized, but it's the first time thieves have entered through a neighboring wall.
Anyone with information is asked to call Columbus Police at 614-645-4545.
