Record-High Temperature Set in Columbus on Tuesday
Updated: Tuesday, January 29 2013, 08:11 PM EST
COLUMBUS -- Many central Ohioans spent Tuesday outdoors, enjoying a record-high temperature in Columbus... while at the same time, preparing for more freezing weather just around the corner.
The temperature reached 67-degrees in Ohio's capital Tuesday -- two degrees higher than the previous record, set in 2002.
Hundreds of central Ohioans took advantage of the warm weather to spend the day at area parks, while others headed to car washes to scrub away salt residue that accumulated during recent snowfalls.
The winter respite won't last long however, with storms likely on the way Wednesday, along with much colder temperatures that are expected to fall into the 20s by Friday.
