COLUMBUS -- Private contractors worked late salting parking lots for people who may be out and about after the ice storm.
Kent Williams lives in Pickerington, but started his route outside a hospital in Marion Village in Columbus Thursday night.
The back of his pick up truck was loaded with rock salt for the nearly 12 jobs that also included pharmacy, church and shopping center parking lots.
"We try to keep it so people don't slip and fall and whatnot we just try to do our job this is all part of winter you know," said Williams.
Williams says he worked into the night to keep from having to get stuck in traffic in the morning.
But expects to be back out should there be snow to plow after the storm.
