Possibly-Blood Soaked Onesie Found in South Columbus
Updated: Thursday, January 31 2013, 01:59 AM EST
COLUMBUS -- Police searched a South Columbus neighborhood Wednesday afternoon after a piece of baby clothing was found, apparently soaked in blood.
A person found the onesie while walking in an alley between Thurman Ave. and Lockbourne Road, according to Columbus police.
A police canine unit searched the alley and its surrounding area after being informed of the onesie's discovery; nothing of interest was found.
As part of their investigation, police visited a mother involved in a domestic dispute reported in the area earlier on Wednesday. Officers say each of the woman's four children were present and unharmed.
Investigators will test the onesie to determine if the substance on the garment is actually blood.
