COLUMBUS -- The pond at the Eastland on the Lake apartment complex has a long history of rescues and tragedies.
There was a close call three years ago when a 15 year-old boy fell into the water. A man jumped in the water and was able to save him.
About a year later a woman and her child were not as lucky. This woman's car slid into the water. She died along with her four year-old child.
Just two months later, a man's body was found floating in the water.
Then a few months after that another car went into the water, killing everyone inside.
Residents say the apartment complex management warns people not to go into the water. Still other people are hoping something can be done to stop all of these tragedies.
