COLUMBUS -- An OSU student is facing two decades in prison after, police say, he robbed a teenage girl after paying her for sex at a hotel.

Eric Gibson is facing kidnapping and robbery charges after allegedly being caught on camera brandishing a gun while his young victim ran naked down the hallway at a Columbus Days Inn on April 23.

Gibson, 21, met the girl on an adult website, according to investigators. They arranged to meet at the hotel, where Gibson allegedly paid the teen for sex, then robbed her after completing the act.

After the robbery, the 16-year-old victim is seen in hotel security footage running down the hall, screaming for help. Gibson is also seen in the video, according to police, pointing a gun at hotel guests, then jumping out a window.

Investigators say Gibson called 911 while on foot, telling a dispatcher he was the victim of a robbery attempt, and providing a false location in an effort to confuse officers. Gibson was arrested after police reviewed the hotel security footage.

The teenage victim has been taken into protective custody. Police say she ran away from home, then fell victim to human trafficking.

Gibson is behind bars on a $500,000 bail amount. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
